Blanched Peanut

Blanched peanuts are raw peanuts that have had their skins removed through a blanching process, which involves briefly boiling them in hot water before peeling off the outer layer. Without the reddish-brown skin, blanched peanuts have a smoother texture and a milder, creamier flavor compared to unblanched peanuts. They are commonly used in cooking and baking, particularly in making peanut butter, confections, and snack mixes. Blanched peanuts are also easier to digest and work well in dishes where the skin’s bitterness might be undesirable. Despite losing some fiber from the skin, they retain key nutrients like protein, healthy fats, and vitamins.
